Six fault families cover most MacBook hardware failures. Each is handled by workshops that specialise in it.
The network organises work into fault families. When you describe your problem, a coordinator maps it to one of these families and routes the job to a bench that does that class of repair day after day. The result is a technician who has seen your fault before and who keeps the parts and tooling it needs.
Display and hinge
Cracked glass, dead backlights, image faults, pressure marks on the panel and worn hinges all fall here. Workshops in this family hold common panel sizes and use alignment fixtures so the lid closes evenly. For guidance on symptoms and costs, read the display and hinge page.
Battery and power
Swollen cells, machines that shut down under load, units that will not charge and damaged charging boards sit in this family. A good bench will measure before it replaces, so you do not pay for a battery when the fault is really the charging circuit. Details are on the battery and power page.
Logic board and liquid
No-power faults, shorted rails and liquid ingress are component-level work. These benches use microscopes, hot-air stations and board-level measurement to find the failed part, then repair or replace it. Read the logic board and liquid page for what is realistic.

Every route starts with a paid diagnosis and a written estimate range before work begins.

What we do not do
We repair hardware. We do not handle account access, we do not discuss the operating system beyond the diagnostic context, and we do not offer data promises. Back up your own data before sending a machine, and tell us if the drive itself is suspect so the bench can plan for a recovery attempt or a replacement.

Choosing the right service for your fault
It helps to know which family your fault belongs to before you write to us, though it is not required. A machine that will not power on at all usually points to power or logic board work. A machine that powers on but shows nothing, or shows a broken image, points to the display. A machine that runs but shuts down under load points to battery, thermal or power delivery. A machine with individual dead keys points to the keyboard.
Mixed faults happen. Liquid can damage a keyboard, a charging board and a logic board in one event. Heat can wear a battery and a fan together. When a job spans two families, the coordinator routes it to the bench best equipped for the heaviest part of the work, and that bench handles the rest of the job as a package rather than sending the machine onward.
Parts and how they are chosen
Workshops source parts through their own suppliers and record what was fitted. Where an original part is the sensible choice, the bench says so. Where a tested alternative meets the need at a lower price, the estimate shows that too, and you decide. You always know what is going into your machine before it goes in.

Turnaround and price both depend on parts availability, which is why we quote ranges rather than promises. A part that is in stock today can change the timing of a job tomorrow, and we would rather be honest about that up front.
