Terms of service
The rules that apply when you use this site and when a repair is coordinated through the network.
These terms form an agreement between you and Easy Laptop Repair LLC ("we", "us"), 2750 NW Market St, Suite 410, Seattle, WA 98107, United States. By using this site or submitting a repair request, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site or the service.
The service
We coordinate repair work. We read requests, match them to independent workshops in our network, and pass on estimates. The repair itself is carried out by the matched workshop as an independent business. We are not the manufacturer and we are not an authorised service provider for any brand. Where we quote an estimate range, it is based on the information you provide and on the fault category; the final figure is set after diagnosis.
Estimates and authorisation
Every job begins with a diagnosis, which is charged and is separate from the repair. You receive an estimate range, and a firmer figure after inspection. No repair work beyond the approved scope is carried out without a fresh authorisation from you. If a fault turns out to be larger or smaller than expected, you are told and you decide whether to proceed. Diagnostic work that has been carried out is not refundable, because it has been performed regardless of the outcome.
Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information about the device and the fault, to back up your own data before sending a machine, and to remove account locks or management restrictions that would prevent testing. You agree to pack machines for shipping with reasonable care. You confirm that you are entitled to authorise repair of the device you send.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for the repair giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, including lost data or lost profits. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you; in that case our liability is limited to the smallest extent allowed by law.
Warranty and refunds
Parts and labour carry warranty cover, described on the warranty page. Refunds for parts supplied but not fitted are described in the refund policy. Those policies form part of these terms.
Independent workshops and brand disclaimer
Workshops in the network are independent businesses. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Apple Inc. MacBook is a trademark of Apple Inc. We are not an authorised service provider. See the disclaimer for further detail.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to the arbitration section below, the courts located in King County, Washington have jurisdiction.
Binding arbitration and class-action waiver
Except where prohibited by law, any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or the service will be resolved by final and binding arbitration, rather than in court, before a single arbitrator, under the rules of a recognised arbitration body, seated in Seattle, Washington. You and we each waive the right to have a jury decide. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you and we each agree to bring claims only in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative proceeding. You may opt out of arbitration by writing to us within thirty days of first accepting these terms. This section does not prevent either party from seeking relief in a small-claims court where it qualifies, or from seeking injunctive relief for intellectual property matters.
Severability and changes
If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect, and the unenforceable provision is limited to the smallest extent necessary. We may update these terms; the date below shows the latest revision, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
