Pricing and estimates
We quote ranges, not flat promises, because model, generation and parts stock all move the figure. Here is how the numbers are built.
Prices for MacBook repair vary more than people expect. Two machines with the same visible fault can cost very different amounts to fix, because the parts and the bench work behind them differ. Rather than publish figures that would not hold up, the network quotes a range for your specific job once it is matched, and firms that figure up after diagnosis.
What moves a quote
The model and generation come first, because panel sizes, battery shapes and connector layouts all differ. Parts availability comes next: a common part is cheaper and faster than one that must be sourced to order. Then there is the depth of the repair. A module swap costs less than component-level board work, which involves more bench time and more measurement. Finally, there is the route: a local drop-off avoids shipping, while a mail-in job carries transit that is built into the quoted price.
Display and hinge
Priced by panel size and finish, with hinge work quoted alongside where needed.
Battery and power
Often the most predictable, because cells are commonly stocked.
Logic board
Costed after diagnosis, because the fault must be found before it can be priced.
Keyboard and pad
Reflects whether the keyboard shares an assembly with the upper case.
How the approval gate protects you
Every job begins with a diagnosis. You receive an estimate range before work starts, and a firmer figure once the bench has inspected the machine. If the finding is smaller than expected, you pay for the smaller repair. If it is larger, you get a revised figure and a choice: proceed, narrow the scope, or stop. Nothing beyond the approved scope is carried out without a fresh approval.

Diagnostics and refunds
The diagnostic step is a real piece of work, so it is charged, and it is not refundable, because it has been performed whether or not you proceed. This is explained plainly in the refund policy. If you go ahead with a repair, the estimate you agreed covers the parts, the labour and the testing, and shipping is included in the quoted price for mail-in jobs.
Warranty on the work
Parts and labour carry a warranty, described on the warranty page. If a repaired fault returns inside the window, the case record makes it quick to establish what happened and to arrange a follow-up.
For a range on your job, send your model and fault description using the form below, or through the contact page. A coordinator replies by email with a matched workshop and an estimate range.

Why we do not list flat prices
A flat price list would look tidy and be misleading. The same screen fault can need a different part on two machines that sit side by side on a bench, and a power fault can turn out to be a battery on one machine and a board problem on another. Publishing a single figure per fault would either be too high for the simple cases or too low for the complex ones, and both are unfair.
What we can promise is the process: a diagnosis before parts, a range before you commit, a firmer figure after inspection, and an approval gate before any work continues. That is more useful than a number that would not survive contact with your actual machine.
Reducing the cost of a repair
Acting early usually costs less. A swollen battery caught before it presses on the trackpad and the display is a smaller job than one caught later. A spill that is powered down and sent promptly is a tidier case than one that is powered on repeatedly. Mentioning the full picture, including anything that happened alongside the fault, helps the bench find the real cause on the first attempt rather than the third.
