How we handle personal information, the rights you hold in your country, and how to exercise them.
This policy explains how Easy Laptop Repair LLC ("we", "us") handles personal information collected through easylaptoprepair.site and in the course of coordinating repair work. Information we collect
When you send a repair request we collect your name, email address, country, device model, the description of the fault you provide, and, if you choose to give it, a phone number. We collect this to match your request to a suitable workshop and to reply to you. We do not collect payment details on this site. We do not collect precise location, browsing history, or device identifiers for advertising.
How we use information
We use your information to read and assess your request, to route it to a workshop that handles your fault family, to send you an estimate range, and to keep a case record for warranty and support purposes. We may contact you about an open case, including in the event of a warranty claim. We do not use your information for profiling, and we do not build advertising audiences.
Sharing
We share the minimum needed with the workshop assigned to your case so it can carry out the work. Workshops act under agreed terms and are required to protect the information. We may use service providers for email and hosting, bound to use data only on our instructions. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Your rights in the United States
California residents have rights under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, including the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, the right to opt out of sale or sharing, and the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect sensitive personal information as defined). You also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Submit a request through the do not sell or share notice or by email to [email protected]. We will verify your request using the details we already hold.
Your rights in the United Kingdom and the European Union
Where the UK GDPR or the EU GDPR applies, our lawful bases are the performance of a contract (handling your repair request), legitimate interests (managing the network and defending claims) and consent where required. You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to withdraw consent. You may also complain to your supervisory authority, for example the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK or your local authority in the EU.
Your rights in Canada
Where PIPEDA applies, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask for corrections, and ask about how it has been used and disclosed. Requests can be made to [email protected]. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Your rights in Australia
Where the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles apply, you may request access to your personal information, ask for corrections, use a pseudonym where practicable, and complain about a breach. Requests go to [email protected]. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Retention
We keep case records for as long as needed to support warranty and legal obligations, and then remove or anonymise them. Contact details for requests that do not lead to a repair are kept only for a reasonable period so we can answer follow-up questions, and are then removed. We do not keep personal information longer than necessary for the purpose it was collected.
International transfers
Our coordination office is in the United States, so information may be processed there. Where we transfer data from the UK, the EU, Canada or Australia, we take steps to protect it, including contractual protections with service providers where required.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including access controls and limited retention. No method is perfectly secure, but we work to keep risk proportionate to what we hold and to notify affected people where the law requires it.
Children
The service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we will remove it if we become aware of it.
